Discover the Ultimate Fly-Fishing Experience
Fishing Breaks offers anglers the rare opportunity to fish on England’s most exclusive and prestigious chalkstreams. Founded over 30 years ago by Simon Cooper, a passionate fly-fisherman with a deep love for these world-renowned rivers, the company has become synonymous with unparalleled angling adventures.
A Treasure Trove of Biodiversity
The British Isles are home to more than 85% of the world’s chalkstreams—some of the most ecologically unique and biodiverse river systems in the UK. Growing up in Hampshire, Simon was fortunate to have access to the finest fly-fishing right on his doorstep. Yet, he recognized that these exclusive waters were often out of reach for those outside a privileged few. Determined to change this, he set out with little more than a telephone and a list of contacts, driven by a vision to democratize access to these legendary rivers.
A Mission Rooted in Passion and Professionalism
“My goal then, as it is now, was to make the best fishing beats accessible to everyone while raising the bar for professionalism in the fly-fishing community,” Simon reflects. “At the same time, we never forget that these chalkstreams are among the most precious and unique trout fisheries in the world.”
